Coral Gables is the first planned city in Miami, it was developed during the 1920s by George Merrick. The architecture is almost entirely Mediterranean Revival style very popular at the time designed between water canals and a tropical forest. It is predominantly a single home property area with concentrated areas for townhouses and condos.
